Home >> Uni Corrective Microneedling
Microneedling is a collagen-induction treatment that uses fine, sterile needles to create controlled microinjuries in the skin. These micro-channels trigger the skin’s natural wound-healing response, encouraging new collagen and elastin production for firmer, smoother, more even-looking skin over time.
Devices We Use
• Twist: A precision motorized microneedling pen that allows your provider to finely control needle depth for different treatment areas and concerns.
• InnoPen: A cordless, ergonomic microneedling device with adjustable speed settings, allowing a customized, comfortable treatment experience.
Your provider will select the device and needle depth best suited to your skin concern, sensitivity, and treatment goals.
• Micro-injury Response: Fine needles create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin, triggering the body’s natural repair process.
• Collagen & Elastin Stimulation: As the skin heals, fibroblasts produce new collagen and elastin, gradually improving texture, tone, and firmness.
• Enhanced Product Delivery: The micro-channels created during treatment temporarily improve absorption, allowing targeted serums to penetrate more effectively immediately afterward.
• Scar Serum — Supports firming, lifting, and tightening for clients focused on scarring and skin laxity concerns.
• Exosomes — A regenerative, cell-signaling technology that supports healing and skin renewal at the cellular level.
• Brightening Serum — Formulated to support a more even, brighter-looking skin tone.
• PDRN / Growth Factor Therapy — A regenerative, polynucleotide-based therapy popular in Korean aesthetic medicine, used to support tissue repair, hydration, and overall skin recovery.
Your provider can recommend the add-on serum that best matches your skin’s needs at the time of your treatment.
• Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 1 week prior; wear SPF 30+ daily.
• Discontinue retinoids and exfoliating acids 3–5 days before your appointment.
• Avoid blood thinners, alcohol, and anti-inflammatory medications (unless prescribed) for 24–48 hours before treatment, as these can increase bruising and pinpoint bleeding.
• Avoid waxing or other hair removal in the treatment area for at least 1 week prior.
• Arrive with clean skin — free of makeup, lotion, and sunscreen.
• Inform your provider of any active acne breakouts, cold sores, or skin infections in the area, as treatment may need to be postponed.
• Expect redness and mild swelling similar to a sunburn for the first 24–72 hours; this is a normal part of the healing response.
• Avoid makeup for at least 24 hours to reduce the risk of irritation or infection in the freshly treated skin.
• Skip retinoids, exfoliating acids, and other active ingredients for at least 5–7 days post-treatment.
• Avoid direct sun exposure, saunas, hot yoga, swimming, and heavy sweating for 48–72 hours.
• Use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser and barrier-supportive moisturizer during recovery.
• Apply SPF 30+ daily once skin has calmed, as newly treated skin is more sun-sensitive.
• Contact the clinic if you notice excessive swelling, prolonged redness beyond a few days, or any signs of infection.
• Mild-to-moderate discomfort during treatment, often eased with topical numbing cream beforehand.
• Visible redness and slight swelling for 1–3 days, sometimes accompanied by fine, dry flaking as skin renews.
• Gradual, cumulative improvement in texture, tone, and firmness as collagen remodels over the following weeks.
• A series of treatments, typically spaced 4–6 weeks apart, is usually recommended for optimal results — your provider will design a plan around your specific concern.
